LANGUAGE LEARNING VIDEOS - GERMAN A2

This A2 video course includes a series of short lessons designed for beginners of German, covering around 30 key topics relevant to everyday communication. Each video is approximately 5–15 minutes long and by the end of the course you should be able to:

  • Understand sentences and frequently used expressions on areas of immediate relevance (e.g. family, shopping, work, local geography)

  • Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information

  • Describe past activities and personal experiences using the Perfekt tense

  • Talk about future plans with common structures (werden + Infinitiv)

  • Give reasons and simple explanations for opinions and preferences

  • Handle most situations likely to arise when travelling in a German-speaking country

  • Ask for and give directions in more detail, including transport and timetables

  • Compare people, places, and activities using comparative and superlative forms

  • Write and talk about daily routines, holidays, and leisure time in more connected sentences

  • Understand and respond to longer questions and instructions in familiar contexts
